MORE food...

Irwin & I singing to "A Whole New World" in 2006!
Just before the week of the Chinese New Year pig-outs, we squeezed in our food tasting session at Sime Darby Convention Center together with both our families and Stephen. Stephen was so kind to arrange an additional lou-sang session for us in conjunction with the festive season, just before we started on the menu proper :)

We had already pre-selected the menu a week earlier -- nothing out of the ordinary, but the usual Chinese 8-course menu. I realized that I had accidentally picked Tea Leaves Roasted Duck as our poultry dish when the 4th dish was served! I'm a duck lover myself :P But I do realize that many others don't share the same liking. BUT... as it turned out, we were all duck lovers -- so we decided to stick to duck, instead of switching it to a chicken dish. My advanced apologies to our guests who don't eat duck! :) Hopefully you'll enjoy the rest of the selected menu... else we'll just have to hit the mamak post-dinner reception!

Trial Makeup at Keith Kee's

Without realization, I've turned into a fan of Keith Kee. I've been around town looking at other wedding gowns even after I'd bought one from him. If anything, I was trying to prove to myself that it wasn't a rash decision getting a gown so early. As I was telling my other bride-to-be friends -- when you put on the gown that's meant to be, you'll somehow FEEL it rightaway. Its akin to the feeling of reaching home. Like you've finally made it to your destination.

Wedding gown. Cheongsam. And another custom-made evening gown on the way -- I decided to complete the whole look by engaging Keith and his partner Ben for hair and makeup.

At my trial session, Keith showed me his makeup techniques which he'll be using on the actual day; not so much the color of the eye shadow he'll be using. I just made sure he promised to do a good job hiding my eyebags on the actual day!
