Organizing our flowers and decor for both the church and dinner reception has been bugging the daylights out of me lately. It really isn't something that I am excited about doing -- perhaps due to my lack of interest in flowers (I like them -- but not as much as I like shoes. HAHA!), but mainly due to the knowledge that it will cost us 4 arms and 6 legs to get our venues adequately 'dressed up'. Can we borrow your legs, please? (KEKE! my lame attempt at cracking a corny joke) :P
I am of the opinion that the wedding industry is a booming cash cow -- they are capitalizing on bridezillas who are determined to have THE perfect wedding day. I mean, who would have thought that a flower pedestal would cost RM350 each? -- and you need some 24 of them to fill up the size of a large ballroom. And a nice looking 9-feet arrangement can cost up to RM1200?!?!
My mom, who initially didn't believe me that decor would cost up to tens of thousands finally caved in when I brought her along to a meeting with a potential vendor yesterday :P She now tells me that my budget is TIGHT. Omg. But heck, I am still sticking to my budget.
